# Check it works

> Confirm your first visit appears in Realtime, and rule out wrong keys, hostnames, blockers, Content Security Policy and bot filtering.

## See your first visit

1. Open your site in a private window so no extension or old session gets in the way.
2. In atrby, open Realtime. Your visit appears within a few seconds, with the page you're on.
3. During onboarding, the install step turns green on the first accepted pageview. The site is marked verified from then on.

## Nothing shows up

| Problem | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| Wrong or missing key | The tag needs `data-site="st_…"` with your site's key. Copy it again from Site settings. |
| Different hostname | Events from hosts other than your domain and its subdomains are dropped. Add staging or preview hosts under Site settings → Extra allowed hostnames. |
| Ad or tracker blocker | Some blockers stop third-party analytics. Serve the script and events from your own domain; see [proxy](https://atrby.site/docs/proxy). |
| Content Security Policy | Allow the script origin in `script-src` and the ingest URL in `connect-src`. |
| Prefetch or bot traffic | Link prefetches, prerenders and known bots are dropped on purpose. Real page loads count. |

## Check in the browser

Open the browser's network panel and reload. You should see a request to `/api/ingest` answered with `202`. Its response says how many events were accepted and how many were removed. In the console, `window.atrby` should be defined.
